The Sonoma State University Political Science Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship to teach undergraduate courses in American Political Institutions, and graduate courses in Public Policy and/or Public Administration. The ability to teach advanced undergraduate courses in such policy areas as immigration or healthcare policy, or on topics dealing with race, ethnicity, and similar issues is especially desirable. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach introductory American Government and Research Methods, and needs to be comfortable working with both undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates with a record of scholarly activity with students and a demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
