The Department of History at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in U.S. Immigration History Post-1945. The successful candidate will be expected to teach U.S. history survey courses and specialized undergraduate and graduate courses in cross-border migration studies. Preferred areas of specialization include intersectional approaches to public policy and community formation. Candidates should demonstrate an active research agenda complementing the existing strengths of the department. We seek a collaboratively-minded historian with an interest in engaging with communities and organizations across and outside the university. Participation in departmental programs, service, and governance is expected. Ph.D. in History or related field is required by time of appointment. Appointment date is 15 August 2018.
