Applications are being accepted for a full-time, year-round, academic technologist. This position will assist faculty to envision and implement ways to teach with technology; provide assistance in combining pedagogical (and/or instructional design) theory with knowledge of standard and emerging technological applications that can enhance teaching and learning; recommend learner-centered pedagogies to support faculty in the effective use of technology in teaching and learning; teach students, in the classroom and in individual consultations, the skills and concepts necessary for completing their assignments; collaborate with librarians and consultants in the Center for Teaching and Learning on teaching with technology; develop supporting resources for faculty and students, and recommend hardware and software purchases; and in collaboration with the audiovisual specialist, manage the Academic Technology Studio by hiring, training, and supervising student peer consultants.

Qualifications
Masters degree in relevant field (e.g. instructional design, education, instructional technology, computer science, library/information science) is required. Successful classroom teaching, proven ability to collaborate with others, and experience in technology implementation in an academic setting is preferred.
Additionally, successful candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the effective integration of technology into the processes of scholarship, teaching, and learning, expertise in web authoring software, image editing software, presentation software, digital video, and audio, knowledge of web design principles, possess strong teaching skills and commitment to service, and demonstrated ability working in a team-based environment along with excellent interpersonal communications skills.
