The Department of History and American Studies at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Early American and Atlantic World History, Colonial or Early Republic period, to begin August, 2018. The successful candidate will offer graduate and undergraduate seminars in their area of specialization as well as the first half of the U.S. History survey (to 1865) and the first half of the World History survey. Faculty teach five courses per year and are expected to maintain an active research program and contribute to our intellectual community. We are particularly interested in candidates who specialize in the areas of environmental history or the history of North America within a global or transnational context. The successful applicant will show evidence of innovative scholarship and experience with teaching and advising with a diverse student body. Ph.D. must be completed by August 15, 2018.
