Senior Academic Position in 20th-Century and Contemporary American Literature and Culture

The Department of English and American Studies at Tel Aviv University invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank position in 20th-century and contemporary American literature and culture to commence on October 2018. We seek candidates with proven excellence in research, and a strong commitment to teaching and university service. Applicants with a specialization in ethnic American cultures and/or Jewish American literature are particularly encouraged to apply. While teaching and research are conducted in English, some working knowledge of Hebrew is required to integrate successfully into the University. Candidates must hold a Ph.D by the time they fill the position.
Salary and conditions will conform to Israeli University regulations. Appointment procedures will be carried out according to the rules and regulations of Tel Aviv University and are subject to the approval of the University authorities.
