The Department of General History, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, invites applications for a tenure-track position in modern history (with preference to Europe, Africa and the Americas), effective 1 October 2018.
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. prior to appointment. S/he will be expected to teach in Hebrew.
Applications should include the following:
- curriculum vitae.
- brief outline of research-in-progress.
- two published articles or other writing samples.
- statement of teaching interests.
In addition, three letters of recommendation are required, which should be sent directly by the referees.

Salary and conditions will conform to Israeli University regulations. Appointment procedures will be carried out according to the rules and regulations of Ben-Gurion University and are subject to the approval of the University authorities.
