Duties : Be an active researcher, dedicated to university teaching and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees. The appointee is also required to undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements : A PhD in related disciplines, with teaching experience and a strong research record/demonstrated research potential in any aspect of the field of development studies. Candidates with teaching and research expertise in (international) political economy, sustainability and/or social development as well as those with development practitioner expertise and research expertise related to Asia as a region or an Asian country will be favourably considered.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.0
