Tenure-Track Assistant Professor - Asian History

Meredith College seeks qualified candidates for a tenure track assistant professorship in the Department of History, Political Science, and International Studies. The position will begin in August 2018.
Ideal candidate will offer teaching and research strengths in modern Chinese history and one or more of the following fields: South Asia, 20th century world, Middle East, Africa, women’s history, international or comparative politics. Applicants will be expected to contribute to all programs in the department, teach introductory surveys as well as upper level specialty courses, engage in scholarship and professional activity, and offer effective student advising.
Applicants must have PhD in Asian history or Asian Studies and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
