Cleveland State University Director, Black Studies Program Cleveland State University invites applications for the position of Director of the Black Studies Program. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in African American/African/Africana Studies or related discipline with research in the area. Must be tenurable in CLASS with publication record commensurate with associate or full professor rank. Demonstrated excellence in college teaching, including curricular development. Leadership experience in an interdisciplinary academic setting. Administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated mentoring and/or student advocacy experience. Ability to establish and maintain positive community partnerships. Ability to work with diverse populations within and outside the university community in an urban environment. Ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
