POSTDOCTORAL FELOWSHIP PROGRAM IN ISRAEL STUDIES
Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, USA in partnership with Tel Aviv University, announces a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Israel Studies. This appointment will be for a two year residency at Northwestern University beginning September 1, 2017.
Responsibilities: Teaching five courses over six trimesters (2 years) in Israel Studies, including such areas as: the Israeli Political System; the History of Israel and the Arab-Israeli Conflict; the Economy of Israel; Sociology and Anthropology of Israeli society; Religion in Israel; Contemporary Israeli Culture, Literature, Poetry, Art, Theatre, Music and Cinema.
Eligibility: Applicants must have earned their Ph.D. no more than five years prior to the date of application. Proficiency in English and a demonstrable record of college-level teaching experience are required.
Application should include updated curriculum vitae, abstract of Ph.D. dissertation, statement of proposed research and teaching interests, two course outlines, and three letters of recommendation with at least one commenting on candidate's teaching capabilities, and materials related to previous teaching experience.
