Seton Hall University History Department welcomes applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to start Fall 2017. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both halves of survey courses in Middle Eastern history and World History, upper-level courses in his or her specialization, and to participate in the Middle Eastern Studies Program. PhD is required; teaching experience and publications focusing on the period since 1800 are advantageous. Faculty members are expected to carry a 3/3 teaching load, pursue an active program of research and publication, and engage in service.
