Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Director of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program
The Women’s and Gender Studies program at the College of Charleston invites nominations and applications for a tenured or tenure-track position, rank open, and Director of the Program, pending budgetary approval. Area of specialization is open. We seek a scholar with a Ph.D. in Women’s and Gender Studies or a related field who is able to each introductory and advanced classes in our program, as well as classes in her or his specialization. We also seek a leader with experience managing a Women’s and Gender Studies program or comparable experience. In addition, strong preference will be given to candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and involving undergraduates in research. The appointment is expected to begin in summer 2017.
