Continuing Track Assistant Professor – Black American Studies

The Department of Black American Studies at the University of Delaware is seeking to fill a full time Continuing Track Assistant Professor. Ideal candidates should have a demonstrated ability to teach courses with a large enrollment, and will be expected to teach up to four courses in our undergraduate program each semester. The range of courses include: Introduction to Black American Studies; Survey of African American Culture, and Contemporary Issues in African American Culture.
Qualifications: Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in African/Black American Studies, Africana Studies, or related fields. They must also have considerable experience teaching courses in these fields. Applicants who are ABD will also be considered, but must have the Ph.D. in hand by August 1, 2017. The start date for this position is September 1, 2017.
