NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY invites applicants for a non-tenure line, 3-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Asian American Studies. We seek a candidate able to teach required introductory courses as well as both general and advanced seminars on topics emerging from their research areas. Responsibilities include: teaching six quarter-length courses annually with possible course reductions for additional service; program building; and collaborating with Asian American Studies students and faculty. This is a benefits eligible, full-time appointment starting September 1, 2017. Ph.D. is required by the start of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience working with diverse student communities.
