The History and Political Science Department at Nazareth College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Comparative Politics and International Relations (or IR) to begin in August 2017.
The successful applicant will teach introductory courses in political science, comparative politics and international relations, as well as upper-division electives focused on the politics of the region in which the candidate specializes.
Region of expertise is open, but preference will be given to candidates with a background in Africa or the Middle East and who can contribute to our well established programs in International Studies, Women and Gender Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, and other interdisciplinary minors focused on global issues and culture. The standard teaching load is three to four courses per semester.
Ph.D. in political science is expected at the time of employment. ABD candidates may be considered if they anticipate successful defense of their dissertation by February 2018.
