The History Department at Old Dominion University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Islamic World since 1500. Field of specialization is open, whether a single sub-region or trans-regional in approach. The candidate will be expected to teach an Asian or World history survey course as well as upper-level undergraduate and Masters’ level courses in his/her field of specialization. Ph.D. in History is required by time of appointment. Teaching experience and publications a plus. Position begins July 2017.
