Assistant Professor of History in Asian Subcontinent - Tenure Track

The Department of History at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites candidates for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professorship in the History of South Asia; research focus is open. Secondary fields may include, but are not limited to, The Global South, The Indian Ocean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Colonialism and Postcolonialism, Science and Technology, and Environmental History. Applicants must show a strong commitment to research and proof of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will teach a 2/3 teaching load, including graduate courses in her/his specialization, as well as Senior Thesis Capstone on a rotating basis. PhD must be in hand by August 2017 appointment.
