The History and Philosophy Department at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls invites applications for a renewable Visiting Assistant Professor position in Modern (20th century) U.S. history beginning in January 2017. To be considered, candidates must have a Ph.D. in modern U.S. history by the time of hiring. The successful candidate is expected to teach the second half of U.S. history survey and upper-division modern U.S. history courses in the field of her/his specialty. In addition, she/he will teach introductory and capstone courses for the Department’s program of secondary education in history and social studies, so qualification and experience in that field strongly desired. The teaching load is four 3-credit classes per semester.
