The Department of History at the College of William & Mary invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Chinese history (field/period open) to begin August 10, 2017. Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. by the time of appointment. The requirements for teaching are two courses per semester, including East Asian surveys, freshman seminars and upper division courses in Chinese history, and occasional graduate seminars in comparative/transnational history. The successful applicant is also expected to contribute to the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies program. For full consideration submit application by the review date, October 15, 2016.
