The Department of History at Salisbury University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Middle Eastern History.
Primary Job Duties: Field of specialization is open, but ideal candidates will complement existing strengths of the department. Teaching load is 3-3 to include World Civilizations, upper division undergraduate, including History of the Middle East, and graduate courses for our M.A. in History program. Salisbury University faculty members are expected to engage in appropriate levels of scholarly activity, student advisement, and service as well as utilize an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in History or a pertinent related field. If ABD, would be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the requirement that candidate complete doctoral degree within six months of the date of hire.
