Summary of Position: The History Department of the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a full-time lecturer in global history, a one-year appointment beginning August 2016. Teaching load is 4 courses/semester. Research interests may be in Middle Eastern, African, and/or transnational history. The preferred candidate should be prepared to offer undergraduate surveys in global history as well as advanced topical/regional courses, including women and gender in the Middle East.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in hand at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred.
