The University of Findlay’s, Department of History, Law and the Liberal Arts, and Gender Studies, invites applications for a full time, tenure track assistant professor in non-western history and pre-law.
Candidates will be expected to teach survey courses in global history as well as courses in their area of specialization. Candidates with research and teaching interests in Africa, the Middle East, or East Asia are preferred. The successful candidate will also teach in our innovative Law and the Liberal Arts program. Candidates with a background in international law, non-western legal history, comparative law, and/or non-western legal philosophy will receive particular consideration. 25%-50% of the successful candidate’s teaching duties will be in the pre-law program.
A Ph.D. is required. ABD’s will also be considered with the expectation of completion by August, 2016. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to student-centered education as well as scholarship and professional development.
