The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral teaching fellowship in Korean literature and culture to begin in August 2016. The course load will be four courses over two semesters, one of which will be an introductory survey of Korean civilization. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Korean literature or a related field by the start of the appointment, should be no more than three years beyond receipt of their doctorate, and should be able to demonstrate prior successful teaching experience, as well as evidence of an active research agenda.

Applications must include a cover letter, current CV, at least two syllabi of proposed undergraduate courses, a research statement for the year of appointment (up to 1,500 words), and a writing sample (no longer than 30 pages).
