The School of Theology and Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track position in American Church History to begin in August 2016.

The School encourages applications for all ranks from scholars who either already have or give promise of having a distinguished record of research and publication and of teaching excellence who are interested in continuing the tradition of scholarship in the field begun at this university by Peter Guilday and John Tracy Ellis. The person who fills the position will be expected to: teach in undergraduate, graduate, and seminary programs in the university; advise students; direct master’s theses and doctoral dissertations; and, serve on committees. Rank and salary will be determined on the basis of academic credentials and publication record.
