Social Studies Affiliate Faculty Position. Initial one-year renewable contract. Successful candidate will teach elementary Social Studies Methods Course and the Capstone for the Comprehensive Science and Arts in Teaching (CSAT) program. Teaching load is 24-30 credits per academic year with possible reassigned time for dedicated advising duties. At least an M.Ed., M.A., or equivalent required. A minimum of 3 years of K-8 Social Studies teaching experience, leadership in professional development, and ability to teach and design curriculum in elementary Social Studies methods is preferred. Teaching experience at the university level is a plus. Individuals will be appointed for one academic year on a full-time basis. This may be renewed once for an additional academic year. Thereafter, such individuals may be appointed for three consecutive academic years.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
