The Department of Government at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year renewable (up to five years) visiting assistant professor position in International Relations with expertise in security studies. The department defines “security” broadly to include the traditional issues of peace and conflict, which include homeland security, intelligence, and terrorism, as well as human security concepts such as the international legal dimensions of human and gender, environmental security, and finally, cyber security. Successful candidates will be able to teach introductory courses in international relations and upper level courses in their area of specialization. Position begins August 2016.

Candidates with Ph.D. in hand preferred, though ABD candidates may be considered.
