Duties : Be an active researcher, dedicated to university teaching and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees. The appointee is also required to undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
The appointment will be for 12 months with possibility of extension.
Requirements : A PhD in related disciplines, with teaching experience and strong evidence of research potential in any aspect of the broad fields of development studies. An outstanding teaching and research record in the field of development studies combined with development practitioner expertise. Candidates with teaching and research expertise in (international) political economy, sustainability and/or social development as well as those with practical and research expertise related to Asia as a region or an Asian country will be favourably considered.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Terms of appointment will be based on the current visiting remuneration package.
