South Asian History (1500-present). The Department of History at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in the area of South Asian history (1500-present). Candidates with research focusing on environmental or urban history are particularly encouraged to apply. The department is interested in interviewing scholars with experience working with the digital humanities. Ph.D. should be in hand by August 15, 2016. Applicants should have a strong record or demonstrate promise of scholarship, be prepared to teach the survey The West and the World and courses in their specialty, and contribute to the MA program.
