The Department of History and Anthropology at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Modern German History with a preferred secondary field in Russian History. Other desirable subfields include Gender or Economic History. The successful candidate will teach a twelve-hour load that includes Modern Germany and the Nazi Experience, The Holocaust, world history surveys, as well as graduate seminars in area of specialization. A PhD in history at the time of appointment is required. Familiarity with online course delivery is desirable.
The position requires a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and advising, an active and productive research agenda, and service to the university that will enable the candidate to meet the criteria for promotion and tenure within the department.
