Qualifications & Responsibilities
A Ph.D. or ABD in Religious Studies or a related field is required, as is teaching experience at the college level. The teaching load is seven courses a year: three courses in the fifteen-week fall semester, three courses in the fifteen-week winter semester, and one course in the four-week May term. The successful candidate will teach courses on Islam and the Middle East at various levels, courses on Christianity at various levels, introductory Religious Studies courses, and courses that contribute to the college’s general education curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to serve the college community through committee work and/or community outreach. An active research agenda in his or her field is also expected.
