The History Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas City seeks a tenure-track, nine-month, Assistant Professor position beginning August 2016 in 20th century American Urban History. The Ph.D. in History or a related field must be completed by the time of employment. The preferred candidate will contribute to the department’s Public History program with experience in oral history and/or digital humanities. Other possible subfields include labor/capitalism, or ethnic/Latino studies. The successful candidate should be committed to a sustained agenda of research, publication, and community engagement. Candidates must submit a letter of interest, CV, three letters of recommendation, and a writing sample or public history project overview.
