Chinese Language Lecturer

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Chinese language to begin Fall 2016. The initial term of the appointment will be for one academic year. Responsibilities include teaching or co-teaching all levels of modern Chinese language, developing teaching materials, supervising teaching assistants, and working cooperatively with other teaching staff. Requirements include a minimum of an M.A. in Chinese linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition, or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English; and evidence of experience and commitment to college-level language teaching.
