The History Department at Long Island University-Post Campus seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, pending budgetary approval, in the history of Early America, 1500-1800, with a preference for candidates whose work explores connections between North America, the Atlantic World, and/or the Caribbean. We would welcome applicants with experience or interest in public history, an area in which the department is seeking to strengthen its offerings.
The successful candidate will teach American Civilization or thematic introductory courses, and specialized courses at both the undergraduate and masters’ levels. PhD in hand by August, 2016.
