The Department of History at Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position (#126210) in Digital History at the rank of assistant/associate professor. This position begins August 1, 2016. PhD in history or related field (geographic area and time period is open) is required by appointment date. The successful candidate will be expected to teach specialized courses in Digital History and other courses for undergraduates and graduate students. The candidate will contribute to the Public History Program (MA and PhD) and work with campus partners. Candidates should also have an active research agenda that seeks to advance the field of Digital History and demonstrate their ability to apply digital tools and methodologies to humanities research.
