Call for Applications: Campbell Fellowship for Transformative Research on Women in the Developing World
The School for Advanced Research (SAR) in Santa Fe, NM invites applications for its 2016–17 Campbell Fellowship.
One six- or nine-month residential fellowship is available for a female doctoral level scholar who has completed her research and needs time to prepare her book manuscript. The successful applicant’s research both documents the circumstances of women in the developing world and offers paths to concrete, practical strategies for improving their health, prosperity, and general well-being.
Applicants should provide compelling evidence of originality of thought, an ability to engage real-world problems, and skill at communicating ideas effectively to professional audiences and the general public. Although women scholars from any nation are eligible to apply, SAR particularly welcomes and encourages applications from scholars in developing countries. All data collection should be completed prior to the start of the fellowship and applicants must demonstrate fluency in English.
SAR provides resident scholars with low-cost housing and office space on campus, a stipend of $4,500/month, library assistance, and other benefits during her tenure at SAR.
Please note that you must have a Ph.D. to apply for this fellowship.
