~~The History Department at Bridgewater State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in U.S. Colonial and Revolutionary history to begin in the Fall 2016 semester. The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper-division lecture courses in the area of specialization; advanced colloquia/seminars; and lower-division survey courses in U.S. history. Student advising and participation in departmental and university decision-making activities are also expected. Preference given to active scholars with both interest and training in some facet of Public History.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in History required
Teaching experience and evidence of scholarly activity required.
Candidates should be committed to public higher education and to working with students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse learning styles. They should also have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, and to work in a highly collaborative environment.
