The Johns Hopkins University Department of History seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor of African History, region and period open, beginning July 1, 2016. We favor candidates whose research makes broad intellectual connections and/or spans regions, whose publications and academic profile are innovative and outstanding, and who will continue our excellence in both undergraduate teaching and the training of graduate students for academic positions. PhD is required by time of appointment.
