Applications are being accepted for a tenure-track, assistant professor appointment in Latin American or Borderlands history to begin in August 2016. The successful applicant will hold the Ph.D. in history by the time of appointment. Ability to teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American and Borderlands history is required, and the ability to teach both halves of the U.S. survey is expected. Ability to teach survey courses in World History preferred. The standard teaching load in the department is twelve semester credit hours per semester, nine of which may consist of U.S. or World History surveys.
