The position
As opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and collegial academic to undertake both teaching and research within the Department of Archaeology and History. Both Archaeology and History disciplines possess an ERA of 5. We are looking for an academic with a background in European History to deliver subjects including ‘Genocides and Holocausts’ and ‘Nazi Germany and Europe’. You will provide leadership in curriculum development and will contribute to a robust and ambitious research culture with alignment to the Research Focus Area (RFA) of Transforming Human Societies.
The candidate
To be successful in this position you will possess:
- PhD in History or cognate discipline;
- Demonstrated scholarly approach to learning and teaching and contribution to inter- disciplinary teaching pedagogy and research;
- Proven strong track record of published high quality/high impact research relative to opportunity; and demonstrated capacity to attract research funding;
- Demonstrated commitment to innovations in teaching and learning in areas such as online and blended delivery; and
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, or co-supervise, honours and postgraduate students to completion.
