The History Department at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for non-tenure-track Instructor position in Modern History to teach at CU Denver's International College Beijing (ICB) located at China Agricultural University in Beijing, China, beginning Spring 2016 semester (approximately February 29, 2016).
We are particularly interested in scholars who have a demonstrated record of excellent teaching and engagement with students. This is an 80% appointment with a teaching load of eight courses per year. In addition to teaching undergraduate courses in his or her area of expertise, the successful applicant must be able to teach courses in areas related to imperialism, nationalism, migration, and globalization, including courses in the College core, such as “World at War, 1914-1945”, “Paths to the Present,” and “Globalization.” ABD strongly preferred; PhD strongly preferred by August 2016. Salary is competitive, and CU offers an attractive benefit package.

Instructors hired to teach at ICB must be able to meet the requirements to obtain the appropriate visa to work in China.
