The Fine Arts Program, St. Thomas University, invites applications for a ten-month limited term appointment in Musical Theatre Voice, at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin August 1, 2015, pending budgetary approval.
St. Thomas University is an undergraduate, liberal arts institution with a full-time enrolment of 1,900. Its students graduate with Bachelor of Arts, Applied Arts, Education, and Social Work degrees. The faculty members are distinguished teachers, researchers and scholars, and the university holds four Canada Research Chairs.
Candidates will be charismatic, dynamic, versatile individuals with a graduate degree in voice or musical theatre, professional performance credentials, and an active creative profile. Teaching duties include courses in voice and musical theatre.
Applicants are to submit a cover letter; CV; evidence of artistic achievement; a statement of teaching philosophy; a statement addressing the candidate’s scholarly and/or creative/performing agenda; and a recent 10-minute video recording (in a data CD or a mastered DVD, or an online link) of recent productions.
