Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking a qualified individual to fill a one-year full time temporary position (AA# 42-4-451) at the rank of instructor in the Department of History for Fall 2015 – Spring 2016 academic terms. The successful applicant will be required to teach introductory courses – U.S. History Colonial to 1877 and U.S. History 1877 to Present.
Ph.D. in History is preferred, with an earned Masters in History at the time of application required. Applicants must submit evidence of quality undergraduate classroom instruction – student evaluations preferred. Finalists(s) must communicate well and successfully complete a phone interview process as judged by the department faculty. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations required.

A recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty. Completing this search is contingent upon available funding.
