Clinical Assistant Professor, History

CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Oklahoma State University. The Department of History invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2015. The department is searching for an outstanding teacher and undergraduate adviser to help us expand our undergraduate program.  Demonstrated teaching excellence in undergraduate courses is required.  Additional experience in advising or program development is preferred.  The successful candidate will teach introductory and upper division courses, coordinate the undergraduate History Club, and provide leadership for departmental efforts to recruit undergraduate majors.  PhD in History at the time of appointment is expected.  This is a recurring three year position with reappointment influenced by teaching performance and demonstrated success in recruitment and advising.

Applicants must submit a letter of application that includes a statement of teaching and advising/program development, evidence of teaching effectiveness, curriculum vitae, and have three letters of reference sent directly to the department. All materials must be received by June 8, 2015.

The position is contingent upon available funding.
