Early U.S. History. The History Department at the University of Oregon seeks to make a non-tenure track, full-time 9-month appointment in early U.S. History to begin September 16, 2015. We are looking for a candidate who can offer six courses during the 2015-2016 school year, two per quarter, including the U.S. history survey and upper-division courses with broad appeal to students, Specialization open. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by Spring 2015. Position is subject to criminal background check. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, one chapter-length sample of scholarly work, syllabi, and other evidence of teaching effectiveness. Please also arrange for three letters of reference.
