The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint an ambitious historian to grow our research and teaching in the field twentieth century European history. The successful candidate will join a growing and dynamic team of historians who are based in the School of History and Heritage. The School delivers undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in History and in Conservation and is home to a rising number of PhD students. Historians in the School have particular interests in gender, urban and cultural history from the medieval to the modern period.
We are looking for a historian of twentieth century Europe who can complement our existing research strengths in twentieth century British history. Applicants with particular interests in gender, urban or cultural history of twentieth century Europe or in Europe and the wider world would be especially welcome. You should have a good publication record with experience of attracting external funding and to work collaboratively in developing new areas of teaching and research in the School.
