Job Description:
Marietta College invites applications for a postdoctoral Assistant Professor position in Chinese History and Asian Studies, beginning in August 2015. This non-renewable one-year teaching fellowship position is funded through a grant from ASIANetwork and the Luce Foundation. Applicants should have a specialty in early modern or modern China, and be able to teach general courses in Asian History and Religion, as well as more specific courses that complement and enhance current Asia-related course offerings at the college. The successful applicant will teach a 2-2 load, fall of 2015 to the spring of 2016; attend departmental and college faculty meetings; participate in research and/or co-teaching with senior members of the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religion, the Asian Studies Program and the Leadership Program.
Requirements:
Ph.D. must be completed by August 2015. Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.

In addition to salary and benefits, up to $2,000 would be available through the college’s Faculty Development Fund for the fellow to present or attend conferences.
