Mercy College's Humanities Department invites applicants for tenure-track and multiple-year track faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor starting September 2015. For the tenure-track position, we seek candidates who can teach survey and upper-division courses in European history. Preference will be given to candidates who specialize in women, gender, and/or sexuality and with teaching experience or interests in World History.
Teaching is at the heart of our mission, and we are committed to building student-mentoring relationships, as well as helping students develop analytical skills for a lifetime of success. We are looking for applicants who are committed to ongoing scholarly research and service to the department, the college, and the liberal arts. The position requires the completion of a Ph.D. before the time of appointment.
