~~North Carolina Wesleyan College invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor of History. A Ph.D. in history is preferred, however ABD candidates will also be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Western Civilization survey courses and upper-level courses in European history with preference to applicants who can also teach Latin American, Middle Eastern, or African history.
North Carolina Wesleyan College is located in Rocky Mount, which is in the eastern, coastal plain region of the state. The college is a teaching focused institution with approximately 1,800 students, including adult degree students in the ASPIRE Program. Applications should include: a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, copies of transcripts showing all academic work and degrees received and three letters of recommendation. A regular load at North Carolina Wesleyan College is 4/4. North Carolina Wesleyan College does not currently sponsor H-1B/H-1B1 petitions/visas for openings in this position.
