The Department of History at Saint Michael’s College invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in East Asian history to begin mid-August, 2015. The successful candidate will teach a general two-semester survey in East Asian history as well as upper level courses focusing on China and at least one other country in East Asia. The normal teaching load is 3-3/3-2 semester courses in a two-year cycle.

Requirements:
- Ph.D. should be in hand by August 31, 2015
- Research field and geographical specialization are open
- A commitment to undergraduate teaching and ongoing scholarship is expected.
Review of applications will begin on December 1 and continue until the position has been filled. The committee will be interviewing at the AHA conference.
