Assistant Professor of History, Shepherd University
Shepherd University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in 18th and/or 19th century U.S. history, beginning August 2015. Preference will be given to candidates whose work examines one of the following: early American frontier/borderlands, labor history, or environmental history. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester, including the US history survey, West Virginia and Appalachian region, and upper-division undergraduate courses in her or his areas of expertise.
ABDs will be considered, but the PhD must be in hand by August 2015.
